What are your plans today? It’s a simple and direct question, generally asked by someone who is either affected by your plans or who wants to be involved in them.

But what if God were the One asking? Wouldn’t the best response be something along the lines of, “You tell me”?

Such a response would mean not just your acknowledging His right to make your plans, but also—hopefully—your confidence that His plans are best in every way. They accomplish more than you could ask or imagine, and they come with His presence and His power.

But if you are reluctant to submit to His plans, or even to hear what they are, there is but one thing you need to do to reassure your doubting soul.

Remember.

You need only remember His wondrous works of the past to ready your heart with faith to follow Him into the future.

You have multiplied, O LORD my God,
your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us;
none can compare with you!
I will proclaim and tell of them,
yet they are more than can be told.

Psalm 40:5 (ESV)
