Michael Allen is the co-founder and co-CEO of Together Chicago. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, he immigrated to Florida in 1977 and became a U.S. citizen in 1986. Called to ministry in 1989 under the leadership of Dr. O.S. Hawkins at First Baptist Church of Ft. Lauderdale, he has since served in various pastoral roles, including Assistant Pastor of Urban Outreach and Evangelism at The Moody Church, Associate Pastor at Sagemont Church, and Senior Pastor at Uptown Baptist Church. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board at Pacific Garden Mission. Michael holds a Master of Divinity from Trinity International University, a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Trinity College (Miami, FL), and an Associate’s degree in Computer Electronics. He and his wife, Marilza, have been married since 1994 and are blessed with four children.
