Mike Lee Appointed CEO at Life Action

August 2024

Life Action is excited to announce the appointment of Mike Lee as our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mike’s journey with Life Action began 27 years ago when a Life Action team visited his church. The experience left an indelible mark on his heart and inspired a lifelong passion for the mission.

As a follow-up to the church event, in the summer of 1997, Mike and his wife, Dana, and their young children attended Family Camp. What started as a simple camp experience soon transformed into a life-changing journey for the Lee Family, who found themselves returning to camp each summer, year after year.

“It was more than just an event; it was a community that breathed life into our family and gave us a clear sense of God’s direction,” Mike recalls. In 2005, after nine summers at camp, Mike felt a clear calling to stay and serve as Camp Director—a role he wholeheartedly embraced for the next 12 years.

During his tenure, Mike helped shape Family Camp into a place of renewal and transformation for thousands of families, cultivating an environment where lives were changed and faith was deepened. “It wasn’t just the events,” Mike says. “It was the intentional discipleship, the connections we made, and witnessing God’s transformative work in real time.”

In 2017, after two decades of service, Mike stepped away to help plant a church in St. Louis. The church was founded on the DNA of Life Action, emphasizing revival, spiritual vitality, and mission with Jesus. But the call to return to Life Action remained strong. In 2022, sensing God’s leading, Mike rejoined the ministry, feeling compelled to bridge the best of Life Action’s legacy with a vision for the future.

Now, as CEO, Mike is eager to lead Life Action into a new season of impact. “God is still at work here,” Mike states. “Our mission to help churches, families, and leaders has never been more important. I want to see this ministry continue to invite and inspire people to live the abundant life Jesus died to provide.”

As Life Action continues creating spaces for people to seek and respond to God in churches across North America, Mike’s vision is to build on the ministry’s legacy of over fifty years by deepening its outreach, equipping leaders, and investing in future generations. Under his leadership, the ministry is focused on three core pillars: igniting movements of God in churches, strengthening marriages and families, and equipping ministry leaders for long-lasting kingdom impact.
