What story does your life tell? When others read it, are they left with any doubt about what you believe or who your hero is? Are the others helped? Do they want what you have? Are they drawn to God?

One problem with stories is that they don’t always have happy endings. But that is never the case with Christ followers. We all share a glorious end, an indescribable destiny. We will all “dwell in the house of the LORD forever” (Psalm 23:6).

Yet another problem with stories—and this one we do encounter—is that they have chapters, and some of those chapters are difficult to live through, even tragic. Life has dark seasons of pain and conflict. None of us come through without some scars.

But these are just chapters. There are other chapters and other seasons. Joyful ones. Refreshing ones. And always … that glorious ending to look forward to.

What title would you give to the chapter you are living right now? Whatever it is, will you trust God with the outcome? Will you keep saying yes to Him?

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
(Psalm 23:6 ESV)
