Danielle's Story

My husband Clinton was not at the (Life Action) services on Saturday & Sunday because he had gone to a Christian Men’s event. When we picked him up on Sunday evening he was quiet and looked extremely tired. I asked him if he was exhausted and his response was “I’m not tired babe, I’m broken…”

Later that week he came to bed and said that several years ago he was unfaithful to me, he had a one night stand with a woman. That night he buried it deep in his heart. He kept that secret for 7 years.

My husband told me that had he not been at the (Life Action) summit all week long, allowing God to soften his heart through your words, he would not have allowed God to break his heart when he got to Men’s Encounter on Friday night. Last night we prayed together and I was able to pray for him and thank God for him, his humility and courage. And then I was able to pray for the woman that he was with.

I have a new husband and our lives have been changed forever. My marriage is growing stronger than I ever thought it could be. God is going to bring His glory through the pain, and beauty through the tears. We are so thankful for the impact that you have made in our lives. I can not thank you enough. God’s sovereignty is amazing.

Stu's Story

I was a thirty-eight-year-old bank vice-president with little spiritual interest. The largest evangelical church in town had split in a vicious fight. Several hundred people had walked out and started a new church across town. I knew all too well how the resulting animosity and hostility had polarized the town. Families were split apart; friends who had known each other for years would cross over to the other side of the street to avoid speaking to each other…

Needless to say, the testimony of Christ was not a good one, as many like myself observed and thought, “What in the world is wrong with these people?

One day, I turned on the car radio and heard the pastors of the two reconciled churches telling how God had broken down the barriers and replaced bitterness with love. I found myself pulling my vehicle off the road and crying like a baby, under the convicting power of God. I drove immediately to the radio station to talk to the preachers and the Life Action staff. They invited me to attend one of the meetings. I heard, perhaps for the first time in my life, the Word of God. A couple of days later, God used one of the Life Action staff members to show me from the Word of God that I needed to be saved. That Thursday afternoon, I bowed my head and trusted Jesus as my Savior.

As soon as I walked in the door at home, my wife said, “There’s something different about you.” She was right. One night, one of the pastors loaded his church members into a fleet of buses and journeyed across town to meet with the other church. Many believers from both churches got their hearts right with God and with each other, and the glory of God descended on that service. No one who was present that night will ever forget. Within two years, our family had surrendered for full-time Christian service. I know that scores of other people have been saved and transformed as a result of what God did in those days of re- vival. I praise God that He was there and that He did a mighty work.
