God is the ultimate difference-maker. Only He can turn a rebellious and darkened heart into a joyful and obedient one. Only He can overrule the evil works of the prince of darkness. Only He can do the impossible.
We’ve known darkness. We’ll likely know more. We’ve seen evil. We’ll see more.
Yet there is one truth that overcomes the darkness, one promise that will obliterate evil, one immovable and irrevocable fact that makes the present world endurable.
He shall reign!
Ultimately, our hope is not in a new year, a vaccine, or a new habit. The life we yearn for—free from all evil, affliction, fear, and danger—is found in God. In God alone.
Until He restores all things, we will walk in the shadow of death. But even then, even now, He reigns.
A simple confession today can bring you or keep you in a place of trust and hope. He reigns!
